I’m not hiding out (that was Saturday night). I was busy and in mourning, but I will be addressing the Triple Overtime Debacle in the Bluegrass, along with the weekend’s many other developments, including the first BCS poll (South Florida?!), before the week is out.
This is a black mark on those resumes, coaches.

Anxious to hear your thoughts…I have plenty of my own. South Florida. Yeah. Because the BCS is a good thing. Yeah.

Yep, no rational argument for South Florida anywhere. Oh, except for that pesky strength-of-schedule thing all the empty headsets ramble on about…
Five of the six computer rankings had the Bulls on top, with the Billingsley formula putting USF second behind Ohio State.
With the high and low marks thrown out, that gave USF the maximum value in that component – enough to jump Boston College. The Bulls finished with an 0.920 score (1.000 being perfect), while BC tallied 0.8906.
“They’ve only played one team that’s below .500,” said analyst Jerry Palm of CollegeBCS.com, noting a USF run that includes wins against No. 9 West Virginia and No. 17 Auburn.
“Ohio State has played Akron and Minnesota. Boston College has played Army and N.C. State and Notre Dame. Right now USF’s schedule is better.”
